Privacy Policy

Last updated October 6, 2026

This policy describes how Cactaur LLC (“Cactaur,” “we,” “us”) handles information when you use the public TCG catalog at cactaur.app, including card and set pages, our API-backed market listings, and related services operated under the Cactaur name. Cactaur is a solodololabs product.

The catalog site does not require an account. A separate marketplace product, when launched, will publish its own terms and privacy notice; it is not covered by the catalog-only practices below unless we say otherwise at launch.

Information we collect

Catalog website (cactaur.app)

  • Server and edge logs. Our host and CDN (for example Cloudflare) may record IP address, request path, browser type, and timestamps to deliver pages, prevent abuse, and diagnose errors.
  • Analytics. We use Google Analytics on the catalog to understand aggregate traffic (pages viewed, referrers, device categories). Google may set cookies or similar identifiers under its own policies.
  • Live market data requests. When you open the Market panel on a card or set page, your browser calls api.cactaur.app to fetch live eBay listing summaries. That request includes query parameters (game, card name, set, number, language) and standard HTTP metadata. We cache responses briefly to reduce load; we do not require you to sign in for this feature.

iPhone scanner (Cactaur app)

If you use the Cactaur iPhone app, you may submit a photo of a card so we can suggest a catalog match. Images are sent to our API for identification and may be processed by a vision provider under contract. We use the result to show card facts and outbound purchase links. App-specific data practices may be updated in this policy or in-app as the app evolves.

What we do not collect on the catalog site

  • We do not operate checkout, payment cards, or shipping addresses on cactaur.app.
  • We do not sell personal information. We do not use catalog data for third-party advertising profiles.

eBay affiliate listings

Card and set pages may show live listings from eBay and link you to ebay.com to complete a purchase. Those links may include eBay Partner Network affiliate parameters so Cactaur can earn commission on qualifying purchases. eBay handles payment and buyer–seller relationships. When you leave Cactaur, eBay’s privacy policy applies.

We use eBay’s Buy Browse API server-side to retrieve listing summaries. We tag outbound URLs and API requests according to our affiliate program configuration.

eBay marketplace account deletion notifications

eBay may send us notifications when an eBay user requests deletion of data shared with third-party developers. Our notification endpoint is https://api.cactaur.app/v1/ebay/account-deletion. We process those notifications to comply with eBay developer requirements and delete or anonymize any associated developer-held tokens or logs as applicable.

How we use information

  • Operate and improve the catalog, search, and market listing features.
  • Measure performance and fix errors.
  • Comply with law and platform partner requirements (including eBay).
  • Protect against abuse, bots, and quota exhaustion on market APIs.

Service providers

We rely on infrastructure and analytics providers that process data on our behalf, including:

  • Cloudflare (hosting, CDN, security)
  • Google Analytics (aggregate site analytics)
  • Cloud hosting for api.cactaur.app (catalog and market API)
  • eBay (listing data via Browse API; purchases on ebay.com)
  • Vision API providers when you use card scanning in the app

We require appropriate contractual terms where applicable and share only what is needed to provide the service.

Retention

Server logs and analytics are kept for limited periods appropriate for security and operations. Cached eBay listing snapshots are refreshed on a short TTL and are not intended as a permanent archive of your browsing history.

Your choices

  • You can use browser controls to block or delete cookies; some features may still work without analytics cookies.
  • You can avoid the Market panel if you do not want live listing lookups triggered from your browser.
  • For privacy questions or requests regarding Cactaur LLC, email privacy@cactaur.app.

Children

The catalog is intended for a general audience. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 through the public catalog site. Contact us if you believe we have received such information.

Changes

We may update this policy as our catalog, app, or legal requirements change. We will revise the “Last updated” date at the top when we do.
